If your shipment needs to be enclosed, a dry van or curtain side trailer provides complete protection.
Dry vans — also called box trailers — are fully enclosed, heavy-duty truck trailers. They’re non-climate controlled and carry general cargo that doesn’t require refrigeration. Loading/unloading is done through the rear doors, requiring elevated access for forklifts in order to enter the trailer.
A curtain side can be either a dry box with tarp sides, or a flatbed with a movable frame of squared ribs supporting a tarp. They can be loaded from a dock or side-loaded from the ground by removing the curtains.
